This Balancer Bolt and Washer/Retainer are a Great Improvement over the Factory Pieces.
The Fully Machined Stainless Steel Washer/Retainer
is Thicker and has a Larger Outside Diameter.
The Bolt is a Large Flanged Grade 8 Bolt.
This means : Improved Contact Area between the Washer/Retainer and the Harmonic Balancer Surface and a Substantial Improvement in Contact Area - Load Dispersal between the Bolt and the Washer/Retainer.

Tech Tip :
Allowing the Coolant to Flow from the Rear of the Cylinder Heads to the Front Coolant Crossover Area Helps to Eliminate Steam Pockets (Hot Spots) in the Cylinder Heads. Therefore Head Gaskets, Valve Seats, Piston Rings and Pistons Last Longer due to more Consistent Combustion Chamber Temperatures and a Reduction in Unwanted Detonation.
Tech Tip :
This Cam Gear Retainer is Machined from Solid Stainless Steel Rod and is Quite Thick. The Bolt is a Large Flange Grade 8 Bolt.
Compare this Retainer to the Mild Steel Retainers or the "Washers" that others are Selling. Compare this Flanged Grade 8 Bolt to the Bolts that others are Providing.

Tech Tip :
When Drilling and Tapping the Front of the Block, it's Important that the Pipe Plugs end up Flush with the Face of the Block when they're Fully Tightened. If the Pipe Plug is too Tall, the Possibility Exists that the Plug can Partially Block the Oil Passages that lead to the Main Bearing Journals. When Using these Shallow Plugs, the Block doesn't require Tapping as Deeply, therefore the Plug will not Block the Passages when Tightened Fully.
NOTE :
These Plugs can be Utilized in Aluminum Cylinder Heads that have the Same Freeze Plug Dimensions as a Cast Iron Cylinder Head.
